Solvang, CA

 In the sweeping acreage of tribal land in the Santa Ynez valley, we had the opportunity to photograph a group of talented and diverse Native American dancers, drummers, and signers. The experience was magical.

Members of several Native American tribes participated and represented various styles of dance including, Jingle dancer Dominique Lombardi, Wanakik Cahuilla; Fancy shawl dancer Cheyenne Phoenix, Northern Paiute and Navajo; Grass dancer Fabian Phoenix, Northern Paiute and Tohono O’odham and Fancy Feather dancer Nathan Logan, Kickapoo and Navajo, singers Nico Phoenix, Northern Paiute and Tohono O’odham; Adrian Phoenix, Northern Paiute and Tohono O’odham; Julian Phoenix, Northern Paiute and Tohono O’odham and Pearson Tahuka, Tohono O’odham.
